Wheel-jam strike in Balochistan against governor rule

QUETTA: A wheel-jam strike was observed in Balochistan against imposition of governor rule in the province on Friday, Geo News reported.

The strike call was given by Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and Balochistan National Party (Awami) (BNP-A).

All the markets remained closed in Quetta and other cities while traffic remained off the roads.

The strike was observed in Quetta, Chaman, Noshki, Loralayi, Ziarat, Khuzdar, Pashin, Turbat, Muslim Bagh, Qilla Saifullah and other areas.

Heavy contingents of police and Frontier Corps were deployed in the areas to maintain peace.
