ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain in most parts of the country while heavy snowfall on mountains for the next two days, Geo News reported Sunday.
It predicted that upper Punjab, Islamabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Makran, Qallat, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan might receive downpour.
The met officer said Malakand Hazara Division, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Murree and Galyat might receive heavy snowfall on Monday and Tuesday.
It also forcast rain for parts of south Punjab and upper Sindh. Minimum temperatures in Parachinar, Astour, Gopas, Skardu, Hunza, were recorded –10, -7, -3 and –2 degree centigrade.
Peshawar and its adjoining areas continued receiving intermittent light rain since Saturday, but it started raining heavily Sunday morning bringing the mercury further down and intensifying cold.
Met Department forecast the spate of rain likely to continue for another two days and cool breeze blowing.
