ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will stage a sit-in outside the parliament house and will take out a long march towards the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday to demand empowering the ECP, Geo News reported.

The Jamaat-i-Islami, the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional and some Sindhi nationalist parties are expected to join the PML-N sit-in.

PML-N stalwart and opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had said during a press conference that his party would stage a sit-in outside the parliament for empowering the ECP since an independent election commission was a guarantee for holding transparent election.
