MULTAN: Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Dr Farooq Sattar, says it is highly unfortunate that Pakistan has only seen a “travesty of politics” since its inception, Geo News reported Sunday.

“The elected become ministers, losers advisers, and the rest go abroad as ambassadors. This is the story of the last 65 years of Pakistani politics”, said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader addressing a ceremony held to reorganize MQM in south Punjab.

He said the deteriorating law & order situation was nothing but a conspiracy to restrict MQM to Karachi only.

He also claimed that there were many tax evaders in the parliament.

“About 70 percent lawmakers do not pay taxes to the peril of masses, life for whom is becoming harder and harder every day”, said he.

Earlier, the Mutthidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) reorganized MQM Janobi Punjab chapter across 11 districts of South Punjab.

Dr Farooq Sattar announced the names of the members of the reorganized south Punjab chapter of his party.

Here are the names of 19 committee members: President Shamshad Jaafari, Rai Khalid, Rana Abu Bakar (senior vice presidents), Javed Cheema, Imran Gaddi, Furqan Mughal (vice presidents), Idress Jaami (secretary general), Rao Tasleem, Maj Retd Javed Hussain, Ali Imran (joint secretaries), Rao Khalid (secretary information), Qasim Rizvi (finance secretary), Nadeem Mirza (office secretary), Farkhanda Baji, Rehmatullah, Zahid Bukhari, Javed Akhtar, Sikandar Gopang, Rashid Hashmi (members).
