Suspected killers, extortionists held

KARACHI: Karachi West Zone police have arrested five suspected killers and extortionists of Lyari Gang war and recovered weapons from their possession.

Addressing a press conference, DIG West Javed Odho said the suspects were involved in targeted killings of political, religious and trade personalities besides members of their rival groups.

He said the police conducted raids in Mauripur area of Lyari and took into custody five accused along with weapons and narcotics.

The DIG West said the suspects also used to force people to pay extortion money in fisheries and Machhar Colony besides taking people hostage for ransom.
