LPG price hike by Rs5-12 per kilo feared

KARACHI: The government is mulling over imposing a levy, which is feared to hike the price of LPG in the range of Rs5 to Rs12 per kilo, Geo News reported on Monday.

LPG Marketing Association spokesman said that the ministry of petroleum has already levied this tax from February 1, while the Lahore High court had earlier stayed the imposition of this levy. He said that the association would once again approach the court against the enforcement levy.

Association has appealed to the LPG manufacturing companies not to pass on the burden of this levy to the people.
