Heavy cache of explosives recovered in Mohmand

KHAR: Security forces on Monday recovered heavy cache of lethal weapons during a raid in Shani Khel area of Mohmand Agency in tribal belt, Geo News reported.

Commandant Mohmand Rifles Colonel Mushtaq told media that the raid was conducted on the basis of information received from a bomber who was arrested from Yaka Gunda area two days ago.

He said that the forces recovered 5000 Kg explosives, Jihadi literature, an anti-tank gun, a wireless phone and hundreds of shells and suicide vests during the raid at a basement in Shani Khel area.

The officer said that as many as 50 terrorists including would-be suicide bombers had been arrested during the last month.
