ISLAMABAD: The Senate saw a state of commotion after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmaker Mushahidullah Khan took a jibe at the Pakistan People’s Party questioning loyalty of the ruling party with what he said blood of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Sources said on Wednesday that the PML-N Senator said Nawaz Sharif and the PML-N workers were present at the hospital where BB was shifted after being attacked at Liaquat Bagh on December 27 2007. He said the PPP betrayed Benazir’s blood.
Khan’s remarks sparked anger among the PPP Senators with Islamuddin Sheikh demanding him to withdraw his comments.
Senate’s Deputy Chairman Sabir Baloch retorted the remarks and said the PML-N leadership ‘rendered sacrifices in Saudi Arabia’.
