ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office (FO) Monday expressed serious concerns over highhanded measures taken in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) following the execution of Afzal Guru.
In a statement issued here on Monday, FO spokesman Moazzam Khan said that the arrest and detention of Hurriyat leaders, curfew, news blackout and other coercive means reflect Indian resolve to suppress the aspirations of Kashmiris.
Reaffirming solidarity with the People of Jammu and Kashmir, the spokesman called for the lifting of repressive measures and immediate release of Hurriyat leaders.
