KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Deputy Convener Farooq Sattar has said that his party is a coalition partner in the government and it, therefore, will continue to perform its role in stabilizing the democracy.

Talking to media following the meeting between MQM and Sindh Assembly members, Sattar said that the Prime Minister and opposition leader would select the caretaker PM under the constitution and his party would play an active role in this regard.

Dr Sattar further stated that political parties have to make a code of conduct in a view that some elements may try to sabotage upcoming elections through terrorism.

Maintaining Law and order is the responsibility of present government and so would be of interim government and the election commission.
