KARACHI: Five people including two traders were shot and killed in separate incidents of violence while three others sustained injuries in various parts of the metropolis - the biggest city and economic hub of Pakistan - on Thursday.
According to police, unknown assailants' firing on a car near Siemens Chowrangi in SITE area killed two persons. The victims were office bearers of Shershah 'Kabari Market'. Their bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed hospital where they were identified as Shakeel Ahmed and Iftikhar.
Two more people were killed in a similar incident of firing at Kamran Chowrangi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar. The deceased are yet to be identified.
A body bearing wounds from torture was recovered from a gunny sack at Mauripur Road. Police says the victim was shot dead.
