ISLAMABAD: Hearing a case pertaining to excessive allocation of Ephedrine quota, a three-member Supreme Court bench on Friday dismissed a plea filed by Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Rawalpindi seeking cancellation of bails granted to Ali Musa Gilani, son of former prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, and PPP’s senior leader Makhdoom Shahabuddin.
The bench comprising Justice Nasirul Mulk, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan disposed of the plea filed against the confirmation of bails of Ali Musa Gilani and Makhdoom Shahabuddin and seeking issuance of their arrest-warrants.
The court, however, agreed to hear the petitions against the bails of other individuals involved in the Ephedrine quota case including Sheikh Ansaar, Nadeem Zafar and PML-N’s legislator Hanif Abbasi.
The court also issued notices to all the parties concerned.
The court directed ANF to produce the proofs and evidences against the accused before the trial court. (PPI)
