QUETTA: Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslameen (MWM) leader Allama Ameen Shaheedi said Tuesday that the sit-in on Alamadar road would continue until successful negotiations.
Addressing a news conference here, Allama Shaheedi added that victims of the Kirani road tragedy would not be buried until all demands were met. Furthermore, the MWM representative said that the security situation in the province would not improve by just replacing the Inspector General of Police.
Expressing his respect for the members of the parliamentary committee formed to hold negotiations with the participants of the sit-in, Allama Shaheedi said no decision would be made which would hurt the sentiments of people.
The families of the Kirani road tragedy in which 89 members of the Hazara community were killed are demanding that the army be given control of Quetta. They have been staging a sit-in alongside the bodies of their loved ones since Sunday.
