ISLAMABAD: Gilgit-Baltistan and Malakand have been cut off from rest of the country because of the blockade of link roads due to heavy snowfalls, Geo News reported Friday.
While winter is back again, as different cities of Punjab received rains and Khyber Agency lashed by sporadic rains.
A woman died and three others were injured, as the roof of a house caved in due to rains at Akakhel area of Bara.
Snowfalls at Hunza Nagar, Diamar and Skardu of Gilgit Baltistan continued unabated, while the communication system has been badly hit by heavy snowfall at Astor. Chilas city was shivering in cold after rains.
Upper areas of Malakand Division being lashed by rains and snowfalls since last night, while Swat road and Alpuri Puran road in Shangla have been closed for traffics.
In Punjab, the cold weather is back again, as Gujrat, Gujranawala and some other cities received heavy downpour.
