LAHORE: The central leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Dr Farooq Sattar Saturday said holding of a consultation over a caretaker set up (by the incumbent government) with the coalition partners is not a legal or Constitutional requirement.

He was responding to a question while talking to media persons upon his arrival here at Allama Iqbal airport from Karachi.

It may be mentioned here that MQM is no longer an ally of the ruling coalition, as the party has already announced its separation with Pakistan People's Party-led government.

Dr Farooq Sattar said MQM wishes to have cordial relations with all the political parties.

He said his party has already finalized the names for the caretaker set up, which will be presented at an opportune time.

The MQM central leader said change in the country would only come through ballot.
