KARACHI: Custom intelligence and maritime security jointly foiled a bid to smuggle 60,000 bottles of liquor from UAE to Pakistan, arresting nine accused in Arabian Sea.

The custom intelligence and maritime security jointly carried out a raid at a launch, pronounced as Al-Khair, in Arabian Sea.

The bottles of liquor have been seized while nine accused were also arrested in the raid.

The custom intelligence official claimed that such a large quantity of foreign liquor had never been caught in the Pakistani maritime boundaries.
