KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah denied that the police official didn’t visit Abbas town after the explosion, saying that Inspector General of Police (IGP) reached the spot at 7:40 PM.

Addressing to the Sindh Assembly, Qaim Ali Shah said the government is well aware of law and order situation including Abbas Town carnage, adding that he was chairing the meeting of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Karachi division when he was informed about the explosion at 7:30 PM.

“It was saying on media that all the police and the CM were attending a marriage ceremony while judiciary also hailed a false claim of an anchorperson,” he said.

Engagement ceremony was started at 9 pm so how it is possible that he attended the same event at 7 pm, Shah asked.

Qaim Ali Shah further said that District Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Sub-Inspector were tortured and police were stopped to reach the bomb spot.

He expressed regret over SC decision about the Sindh Government and said that constitutional requirements should be met by hearing everyone before issuing verdict.
