Karachi police arrest three ‘Taliban’

KARACHI: Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three activists of proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.

Crime Investigation Department (CID) SSP Fayaz Khan told media that the detainees were affiliated with the Hakimullah Mehsood faction of the militant organization.

He said detonators, ball-bearings and detonating wires were recovered from their possession.

The officer said the accused were wanted for their involvement in kidnapping for ransom and robberies. Mr Khan said that the arrested militants were being interrogated about blasts in Karachi.
