KARACHI: The rangers carried out targeted operation in Sultanabad, Sohrab Goth, Malir, Baldia Town and Yousuf Goth areas, arresting three alleged workers of Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan among target killers and extortionists.
According to the Rangers official, the targeted operation in Sultanabad was carried out on intelligence information. He said that female rangers personnel also took part in the operation.
The official said that sniffer dogs were also used in the operation. He said that three alleged workers of TTP were arrested while over thirty different weapons were also recovered in the operation.
Meanwhile, nine more accused including leader of gang war Qasim alias Zubair Pathan were rounded up from Yousuf Goth while sub-machine guns and a huge amount of weapons were also recovered.
A torture cell was also unearthed during the operation from the area.
In Saudabad, Sohrab Goth and Ghareebabad, the rangers held 20 accused involved in target killings and extortions.
