Zahid Alvi to take oath as Sindh caretaker CM today

KARACHI: Justice (retd) Zahid Qurban Alvi will take oath of Sindh caretaker Chief Minister today (Thursday), Geo News reported.

Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad will administer oath to Zahid Qurban Alvi at 3:00 pm.

The governor has also approved summary sent by chief minister, setting May 11 as election date.

Earlier on Wednesday, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and Opposition Leader Syed Sardar Ahmed nominated Mr Alvi as the interim CM.

Addressing a press conference Shah said that Zahid Qurban Ali was a neutral person and he was selected for the post after consultation between the government and the opposition.
