Karachi: Several rounded up during Lyari operation

KARACHI: Rangers have detained several persons during a targeted operation in different areas of Lyari after getting a tip off regarding the presence of criminals, Geo News reported Wednesday.

According to sources, Rangers are continuing operation in Lyari areas where female personnel and trained commandos are also taking part. Raids were conducted after getting information from the intelligence agencies about the presence of criminal elements in the area.

The entry and exit points of the area were sealed during the operation. The areas where raids were conducted included Jaman Shah plot, Kashti Chowk, Gul Mohammad Lane, Shah Baig Lane, Kalakot and Ath Chowk.
