ISLAMABAD: Massive irregularities have emerged in ministry of information and broadcasting regarding appointments of ministry staffers in foreign countries.

According to sources, former information minister Qamar Zaman Kaira favoured his personal staff and approved their appointments abroad without any test and interview. The approval was also not taken from ministries of foreign affairs and finance.

The sources said that one of the staffers Muhammad Gulzar has been deputed in Pakistani Embassy in Turkey.

Another staff member of information ministry Amir Ashfaq has also been deputed in Malaysia while one more staff member Pervez Dasti has been given approval for his deputation abroad.

Deployment order for Principle Staff Officer of the former minister Shafqat Abbas in Germany has also been issued.

The sources further said former Information Secretary has also issued orders regarding appointment of his favourite staff members Muhammad Mushtaq for Pakistani mission in Singapore and Majid Ali for Dubai.
