Karachi: Police, rangers detain over 30 suspects

KARACHI: Sindh police and rangers carried out raids in various areas of Karachi, detaining more than 30 suspects and recovering weapons from their possession in the wee hours of Monday, Geo news reported.

According to the details, a heavy contingent of police personnel launched raid in Ittehad Town area of Baldia Town and held 14 suspects. Eight TT pistols, 2 kalashnikovs and three motorcycles were also seized during the raid.

Police official said the suspects are being interrogated.

The police and rangers also carried out targeted operation in Lyari area and apprehended over a dozen suspects.

Meanwhile, the rangers personnel also conducted door to door search in Drig Road colony and detained several people.

In Nazimabad, rangers rounded up four suspects during the targeted operation. It also raided in P I B Colony but not arrests were made.
