Fake degrees: ECP summons 24 former parliamentarians on April 5

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned 24 former parliamentarians to appear before the commission on April 5.

According to the ECP, they have summoned the fake degree holders on the directives of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The SC had ordered the ECP to inform the court in the next hearing on what basis the fake degree cases were closed so that the issue could be resolved.

The former parliamentarians summoned to Election Commission include, Umar Gorgaij, Shumaila Rana, Samina Khawar, Wasim Afzal Gondal, Seemal Kamran, Gul Muhammad Lot, Nawabzada Tariq Magsi, Saeed Ameer Ali Shah, Ghulam Sarwar Siyal, Dr Israr Hussain, Mukesh Kumar, Pitambar Sehwani, Shujaat Ahmed, Nadir Magsi, Rehan Yahya Baloch and Israr Ullah Zehri.
