Preliminary report into Grid Station attack issued

PESHAWAR: A preliminary report into a brazen attack on Sheikh Muhammadi Grid Station said that the militants destroyed the Control as they entered the facility, Geo News reported Wednesday.

The report complied by the local police said that only seven policemen were deployed at the sprawling facility which is located only four kilometers from the restive tribal region, making it vulnerable to any such attack.

The report said that the attackers easily stormed the gird station and returned after kidnapping four people.

According to the report, the kidnapees have been kept in the suburbs of the provincial capital and authorities were planning to launch an operation for their recovery.
