Election Commission opposes E-voting facility for overseas Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday came out openly opposing the facility to vote for overseas Pakistanis, Geo News reported.

ECP is of the view that giving right to vote to Overseas Pakistanis through uncertified/untested computer system (online voting) would be hazardous.

The ECP has suggested that initially the system should be used on a limited scale and it requires legislation also.
