Terrorism bid foiled, two motorbike-bombs defused in Bannu

BANNU: Police timely reaching the scene foiled an act of terrorism by defusing two motorbike-bombs weighing 20 kilograms on Sunday here, Geo News reported.

Bombs were planted into two motorbikes near public transport station in semi-tribal area called Havaid.

Police said that some one at the transport station suspecting mischief informed them and they immediately rushed to the scene. The two motorbikes on checking were found fitted with bombs weighing 20 kilograms, which were later defused by the bomb disposal squad.

Police have started investigation into this subversive act.
