Election Tribunal rejects Musharraf’s nomination papers from NA-250

KARACHI: The Election Tribunal on Monday rejected the nomination papers submitted by former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf for NA-250 (Karachi).

Musharraf had appealed against the returning officer who had turned down his nomination papers from NA-250 earlier on the basis that he had violated the constitution.

The Election Tribunal, however, retained the decision of the returning officer and declined Musharraf’s appeal.

The nomination papers of Pervez Musharraf for NA-139 had also been rejected while his nomination papers for NA-32 (Chitral) have been challenged.
