Police arrest 60 accused in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh police clamed to have arrested sixty accused from various areas of the metropolis during the last 24 hours.

According to the police, 14 absconders and 13 proclaimed offenders among 60 accused were arrested from the jurisdiction of police stations in East, West and South zones. The weapons were also recovered from their possession.

The accused included a man allegedly involved in the murder case, two extortionists and three dacoits. Anti-car lifting cell arrested nine accused while 27 others were also arrested under weapons act, anti-narcotics act and miscellaneous acts.

Action was taken against sixteen people over violating of pillion-riding ban, and 13 others for using fancy number plates and tainted glasses in their vehicles.
