KARACHI: Condemning the brutal killings of its office bearers the Muttahida Qaumi Movement has announced to observe a peaceful Day of Mourning on Friday in Karachi and the rest of the Sindh, Geo News reported.
According to a statement issued here the Coordination Committee condemned the relentless killings of MQM office-bearers, workers and an election candidate.
On he day of mourning black flags would be hoisted and fateha would be offered for the blessings of the souls of the martyrs, said the statement.
The Co-ordination Committee also made it clear that business activities and transport service would continue uninterrupted on the day of mourning.
The statement added that no steps were being taken by the caretaker government and the security agencies to protect the life and property of the MQM workers and sympathizers.
Moreover, the Co-ordination Committee has asked the sectors and zones across the Sindh province to hoist black flags in their areas for observing a peaceful day of mourning.
