BAGHDAD: A convoy of Pakistan pilgrims has been stranded at the Baghdad airport for eight hours as Iraqi immigration officials refused to allow them to enter the country.
The immigration officials said that they would not let the convoy comprising 37 people to leave the airport only after the interior ministry granted permission.
Iraq braces for Saturday’s provincial elections with country’s security forces being incharge of security after withdraw of US forces in 2011.
