KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has announced a day of mourning across Sindh on Friday (today) against the killing of its candidate, workers and office bearers, Geo News reported.
Coordination Commission of the MQM has said that black flags would be hoisted. It said that transport would not be suspended while other business activities would also remain open during the peaceful day of mourning.
It said that MQM candidate Fakhrul Islam and other party workers had been killed but the caretaker government took no action. In a statement, MQM chief Altaf Hussain said that bloodshed of MQM workers continued despite several assurances by the government. He asked as to what step has been taken to stop the killings.
