Gas pipeline blown up in Rajanpur

KASHMOR: A 22-inch diameter gas pipeline supplying gas to Punjab from Sui has been blown up in Kashmor in Rajanpur, police said.

The police said that unknown people blew up the pipeline with explosives in Faiz Muhammad Goth area of Rajanpur, suspending gas supply to several areas in Punjab.

Traffic was suspended near Dera Nire after a broke out following explosion in the gas pipeline, the police said.

Sui Northern Gas Company General Manager Rehan Nawaz said that gas supply was disrupted after a 22-inch diameter pipeline was blown up. Gas supply to industries and industries was also suspended due to the explosion.
