PPP activists protest against returning officers

RANIPUR: Workers of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) staged sit-in and blocked national highway for traffic against returning officers (ROs) of NA-216 Khairpur II near Ranipur, Geo News reported.

According to details, workers of PPP staged sit-in near Ranipur against the placement of returning officer Aftab Ahmed Arain, assistant returning officer Abbas Siyal and Habib-ur-Rehman Junejo. The protesters burnt tyres and blocked the road for vehicular traffic.

Protestors demanded immediate change of returning officers and blamed that the ROs were supporting PPP opponents.
