Caretaker PM orders foolproof security for politicians

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khoso has directed the interior ministry to provide foolproof security to the major politicians, Geo News reported.

Interim PM Mir Hazar Khan Khoso chaired a meeting here on Thursday, in which interior ministry briefed him about the steps taken to ensure security during elections.

Officials of Interior Ministry informed the PM that police along with other law enforcers would be deployed in the most sensitive polling stations, while troops could also be used as a quick response force.

Information Ministry representatives also put in that special passes would be issued to national and foreign election observers.

During the meeting the caretaker PM directed the information Ministry to take effective measures to counter the propaganda as well as rumor-mongering casting doubts on the timely elections.
