LAHORE: President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday that his party has devised a strategy to produce thousands of jobs and provision of gas and electricity at fair prices by making investments in energy sector, Geo News reported.
In a statement issued from PML-N secretariat, Nawaz Sharif said that his party is not like Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) whose ministers didn’t get time out of looting, adding that the strategy makers of PML-N are able to run the ministry of Water and Power.
He said that they would get Pakistan to the progressive path in three years. If voted to rule they would also initiate the projects of solar energy and power generation from biomass. Power houses that are generating energy while using furnace oil would be shifted to coal, he added.
He claimed that poor consumers would be served with cheap Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), while cooperation would be enhanced between federal and provincial governments to making new energy houses.
