KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar has alleged rigging in polls in Karachi and said that their mandate was being robbed, Geo News reported.

Addressing a hurriedly called press conference at MQM headquarters Nine Zero, Farooq Sattar said people are being stopped from exercising their right of vote.

Flanked by Raza Haroon and Nabeel Gabol, he alleged that at least 37 polling stations of his constituency are controlled.

MQM leader further said balloting at various polling stations, where his party used to take majority, was delayed deliberately and the voting material was snatched. MQM mandate and elections were being hijacked, he maintained.
