Governor Punjab Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood resigns

LAHORE: Governor Punjab Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood has resigned from his position Monday, Geo News reported.

According to sources, PPP leader and Governor Punjab Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood resigned after his party faced defeat in the May 11 elections.

He said that he has resigned on moral grounds and will stay away from parliamentary politics.
