PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkwah (KPK) chapter has rejected the poll results of the province and decided to launch a protest movement against the alleged poll rigging in KPK, Geo News reported.

A meeting of PPP leaders was held here Wednesday during which they declared the May 11 general elections rigged.

Provincial secretary information of PPP KPK chapter Liaquat Shabab said his party refuses to accept the poll results and that a strong protest would be staged against the alleged rigging.

He demanded of the ECP to conduct fresh polls by declaring the results of the recent KPK elections void.

Meanwhile, the Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazal ur Rehman had refused to accept the mandate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in KPK yesterday.

The PTI had also demanded re-polling in all constituencies of Karachi and launched a protest movement in Karachi, while they are also protesting in Lahore, calling poll results of NA-125 rigged.
