KARACHI: Unknown armed men Friday night gunned down renowned educationist, Professor Azfar Rizvi and his driver taking the violence-related death toll of the day to ten, Geo News reported.

According to details, bikers, armed with assault rifles, fired quick bursts on his car near Karimabad Chowrangi. Rizvi was on his way home from his private coaching centre he owns. Both he and his driver took too many hits in the attack. They were pronounced dead in the hospital they were rushed to.

The assailant(s) made their gateway leaving no trace behind except for the shell casings of the bullets they riddled both the victims with.

Cops believe it was a sectarian killing.

Earlier, violent crimes claimed at least eight people across the city.
