KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has expressed serious concerns over what it said enforced disappearances and killing of its workers and demanded of the authorities to take notice of the situation.
Addressing a late night press conference, party’s senior leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said that MQM’s KTC member Ayaz Hasan was kidnapped near Toll Plaza while he was on his way Sangahr Cadet College to meet his son.
He added that an MQM worker from Maripur Unit was shot dead on Monday. The MQM leader took exception to Qaim Ali Shah and other PPP minister’s visit to Lyari soon after taking oath of their offices to attend a reception. He said that gangsters were distributing extortion slips among the owners to marriage lawns in North Nazimabad.
He demanded of the president, incoming prime minister and Sindh governor to take notice of the situation.
