KARACHI: A man was killed when Sindh Rangers personnel allegedly fired bullets at a car, killing him on the spot, while another sustained injuries, Geo News reported Tuesday.

According to the injured survivor, he along with the deceased were on way back to home after under going a dialysis treatment when paramilitary men opened fired at their car in Shah Faisal Colony area.

He further revealed that their car accidentally bumped into a motorcycle the Rangers personnel were patrolling on near a fire station in the premises of Shah Faisal police station, after which the security men started shooting at them. As s result Ghulam Haider, 25, was killed on the spot, he added.

The deceased and injured were rushed to Jinnah Hospital. The family of victims reached the hospital, where deceased’s father demanded justice for his son.

The Rangers authorities, however, according to sources, did not make themselves available for a comment.
