KARACHI: The Sindh Assembly on Tuesday unanimously passed two resolutions condemning a statement to cut down 350-megawatt Karachi’s power quota and demanding closure of Chashma Barrage.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MPA Hafeezuddin Advocate tabled an adjournment motion over 650-megawatt power cut. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that there was no justification for power cut.
The MPAs expressed concern over shortage of water in lower parts of Sindh, especially Badin, demanding immediate closure of Chashma and Taunsa barrages.
