KARACHI: The Jamat-e-Islami (JI) has demanded that the Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan be replaced over what it said the poor law and order situation of the province with particular reference to Karachi, Geo News reported Tuesday.
Addressing the All Parties Conference (APC) held under the banner of JI at its Headquarters, Idara-e-Noor-e-Haq here, its Secretary General Liaquat Baloch questioned as to why the Governor of Sindh was not being replaced when governors of all other provinces were being changed.
On the occasion, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Taj Haider alleged that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) breached the law by conducting new delimitations in Karachi. Irregularities were also witnessed in electoral lists, he added.
The PPP and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) also attended the APC.
