ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has conducted the postmortems of 10 foreign tourists attacked and killed in Gilgit Baltistan in the early hours of Sunday, according to PIMS spokesman.
“All the killings occurred as a result of firing,” the spokesman confirmed in light of the autopsies’ initial report being prepared by the doctors.
Unknown armed assailants had gunned down 10 foreign tourists in Gilgit Baltistan in the early morning today.
Later, the bodies of the slain tourists were shifted to PIMS in Islamabad where their autopsies were done. According to the initial postmortems’ report all the killings took place as a result of firing. The tourists received bullet-wounds on their chests, heads and necks, according to the initial report.
The spokesman further said that 3 of the bodies of the murdered tourists had been shifted to the PIMS morgue and those of remaining 7 to Poly Clinic Hospital.
