ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Thursday told Supreme Court (SC) that the irregularities were found in issuing CNG station licenses, Geo News reported.

Three-member bench chaired by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftekhar Muhammad Chaudhary heard the case regarding irregularities in issuance of CNG stations licenses.

The CJ remarked that the illegal CNG stations licenses were issued, ordering the FIA officials to visit stations and submit the report on July 5.

Additional Secretary Director General FIA presented the transitory report regarding CNG stations and the laws had not been taken into consideration in accordance with report.

Seventeen CNG stations had been established within three kilometers in Gujranwala city and a CNG station was located near a school in Lahore, the FIA official added.

Chairman Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Saeed Khan told the apex court that no CNG station license had been given after April 2012.
