KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) staged a walkout from Sindh Assembly as its Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA), who had already consumed more time speaking than allowed under the rules of the house, was prevented from continuing any further by the Deputy Speaker.

Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza while stopping him, said that if the MQM MPA Dr Sagheer Ahmed wanted to take more time then he should get himself nominated as the opposition leader.

In a reply to the deputy speaker, Opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly Faisal Sabzwari advised Shehla Raza that she should behave like a speaker rather than a dictator, stating that she should avoid dictating the members of the assembly.

The Deputy speaker snapped that either maintain silence during the session or leave the assembly, prompting the MQM MPAs to stage a walkout.

Later, the PPP members present on the occasion, managed to persuade the MQM’s representatives to come back and attend the rest of the provincial assembly’s session.
