Militant commander among 8 terrorists killed in Balochistan operations

QUETTA: At least eight suspected terrorists have been killed in two days of Frontier Corps (FC) operations in Turbat district of Balochistan province. Two soldiers were also martyred in exchange of gunfire during the operation, said a spokesman.

According to the FC spokesman, the operation was launched the previous day after FC received information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

Three terrorists were killed during the first day of the operation. The spokesman said that five more terrorists were killed during an exchange of gunfire today.

Meanwhile, a key militant commander belonging to a banned outfit was also killed when FC personnel carried out a separate operation in Kalat area of the restive province.
