Search operation in Karachi Central Prison completed: IG

KARACHI: Inspector General (IG) Prison Nusrat Mangan Saturday said the search operation in Central Jail, which had started earlier today, has been completed, Geo News reported.


Briefing the newsmen outside Central prison here, IG Mangan said that it was a routine search operation during which six cell phones were sezied while no computer was recovered from the detention facility.

He further said that as many as 200 Rangers’ personnel participated in the search operation. However, nobody was interrogated in the central prison.
