BRUNEI: Advisor to the Prime Minister on national security and foreign affairs, Sartaj Aziz held a meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister, Salman Khurshid on the sidelines of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (AEAN) on Tuesday morning here, Geo News reported.
This was the first high-level dialogue between Pakistan and India since Sharif assumed Prime Minister's office after May 11 elections.
They discussed bilateral issues and ways to further improve relations between the two countries. Matters relating to confidence building measures and gearing up the process of composite dialogue between the two neighbourly countries also came under discussion.
Sartaj Aziz said that the people of both the countries want to build strong relationship with India.
Indian FM Salman Khurshid appealed for considering Indian imprisoned fishermen cases on humanitarian ground and urged for their early release.
